There should be a setting something like:
- Never ask for password for purchases of $X and under.
- Always ask for password for purchases of $Y and over.
The first one would be nice so it I could set it to free and easily update my apps.
The second would help prevent cases like the OP.

Can someone just post a damn changelog? Honestly... :mad: I don't want to have to reinstall DP2 over SL to find out if 2011 MBP GFX issues were fixed (screen savers, display blockiness, etc.).

As a frequent user of Pages 2, I would like more toolbars and less of the 'inspector' stuff, which to me is not as convenient.

That's one naff design, Horrid I tell you absolutely horrid. In part too it contravenes apples design philosophy; No way would apple resign gesture control to the home key, if anything they would de-funk the home key and have the entire bottom edge as gesture control.

Mr Blah, your name seems to be appropriate. No one looks at a tower and says, "Hey, that looks like a really innovative computer." However, how many people think that (maybe not in those exact words, but the idea) about the iMac? I'd venture to guess a lot more than ever thought that about a Dell. That's why Apple's viewed as the leader in the computer industry even by a lot of people who don't have or even want Macs. If Apple sacrificed that for the sake of perceived benefit on the part of the same people that go for Dells because they're "tools", they're not going to gain anything. Apple survives and flourishes by being the technology leaders, not by copying overused designs like towers.
Well go and tell that to Dell and their massive market share and we'll see if they take you seriously and change their marketing strategy. Theres ideology and then theres reality, I suggest you take a trip into reality. People may think Apple is innovative but so what? Most people buy whats cheap, not whats innovative, and since Dell isnt innovative in anything they do they can afford to be cheap. Watch, it probably really means it instantly voids the MS support part of the Vista purchase for that license.
Would be just peachy that Apple offers zero support for running Vista on a Mac, and MS does the same for those doing it via virtualization.
Probably forsee a support headache coming down the path. :p

One thing that is buried in all of this is that Apple is FINALLY offering a magsafe airline power adaptor for their laptops, for $59.00. I have been doing a ton of cross-country flying recently, and carting two batteries to try to keep my laptop juiced up on the trip. I have waited for months for an in-flight power solution. Apple has finally come through with this! :D

I have lost most of my money in companies where I "fell in love" with the story. Basic chart analysis, like I just did, was unfortunatly much more accurate than my emotions. I use it as a "gut check".
One of the best technical analysis charts is a P&F chart, it focuses on PRICE ACTION ONLY (no time). If you check out AAPL in a daily P&F chart it has broken down past the bull trend line (blue) and is consolidating. Its a pretty bad looking chart that was looking well overbought

However, if you take a look at the weekly P&F chart, then AAPL is crashing and it could fall to 54 before breaking its bull trend line...so it could have a long long way to fall.

And I pushed my way through 2 full Apple Stores in the past week, most people wanted help with new computers or were, like me, just looking and finding it hard to come up with a reason to buy another iPod. The cash register desk was quiet.
Good point there man, I cashed in a few weeks ago at $199 (I know I'm a lucky SOB) But I did so because of the divergence on the MACD chart.
