Has anybody been able to install Vista in vmware fusion. I installed it but I had trouble installing the vmware installation tools.

Yeah, its rather like an Apple computer: it works and works well. Plus it has nifty little features and all.
When I first got my MBP, I think the software was not Universal, but they made it UB shortly afterwards, so I was using programmed buttons in no time. It really is easier than ctrl-click though sometimes I still do that out of recently developed instinct :)

I used to fold with Macrumors a few years ago, as I remember it we had a pretty powerful team, seems now things are waning, and this board has cooled off. I suppose I'm guilty of leaving as well (jumped ship for Penny Arcade, great comic BTW), am I just glossing over old memories or have things actually slowed down?

I don't care much for a bluetoothed version of this P.O.S.
At the moment the Mighty mouse has heaps of potential to be a great mouse if only Apple fixes the current issues it encounters such as sometimes not being able to scroll downwards, erratically activating expose (side buttons) when I don't even have my fingers near there and other few quirks....
Now if its going to be bluethooth, it'll be harder to tell whether its the mouse or the bluetooth faulting.

Whats happening with iChat, are they getting it to work with MSN Messenger networks like with AOL?
I have just switched to Mac, and it's annoying I cant Video Conference with any MSN Messenger users (MSN Messenger on Mac doesnt support it). iChat is awesome but I have no contacts, lol. Anyone know of any other way, I have tried AdiumX and looked into Jabber.
You can use aMsn an open-source MSN client which supports web cams (including the embedded iSight).

It's available as a universal binary.

i was totally disappointed. I was 2nd in line at Best Buy Anaheim only to find out they got 15 ipad2. No 3g or 64gb. Wasted my time! Never going to shop there again!!!!!

Oh Apple Mail has a To Do list. And Notes. But the Calendar is a separate app, as is the Address Book. So why not also have a separate To Do and Notes application? Oh, because they're stored as special formatted email messages in Mail.app, that's why. So how about integrating Calendar and Address Book better in Mail. It's a mess.

Maybe that's the way it strikes you, but this isn't the way it strikes those of us who've been using Pages since it came out.
But all of my work is poorly-researched, so maybe that's why I like it.

So it's not like I'm the only one who thinks that Pages needs more to better compare to Word. As it stands, I'll give Pages a shot if I need to do something fancier than writing for MFA workshops.
Plus, I save a couple of bucks.

Ha sound like me...typical college student. I've been selling stuff and have returned about 4 things in the past week because they all sucked!
Agreed. I had some cash left over and been meaning to look into remote earbuds since my stock apple ones died and I didn't want to purchase those again. Fell into the marketing scheme a little bit by the Dre's, but I wanted buds that wrapped around the ears since in ears are difficult for me to keep steady.
Found some Phillips for $50, so I'm going to get my $162 back in a few hours.

Although I find the slider buttons pretty, I think these are just a step to touch-interface. It makes sense when you have to actually slide the button (with your fingers). But when using a mouse/trackpad, it is more logical to point at the option you want and the selection will slide to the requested option.
I think this will return when touch-based interface will make its entry.
Apple could make them an option in System Preferences :p

It's a shame that Apple isn't at least back-porting security fixes for 3G users. No new features, just security fixes. (although that new version of WebKit would probably give them a nice speed-boost, too!)

That is exactly what I meant. I'm also out of the group of people who got the 8GB iPhone. But knowing the "App Store experience" staying at iOS 3.2 for a while longer, it gets tedious quickly. Devs update their Apps, and you can't go with them. If I had the 8GB iPhone since 2010 I'd be pretty annoyed with that.

Apple definitely needs to get more serious about security. As more people start to buy Macs, more people will start to tinker and find holes. I hope Apple will rise to the challenge.
I bet you're downloading .mov files. QuickTime .mov files have interactivity features that are being exploited by pornography websites to redirect you to their site.
I would strongly advise against dropping your Limewire habits and moving towards more legitimate sources for your content.
